Step 1: Get Licensed & Insured
Obtain a state license and set up an E&O policy. Most pass the exam within 2–4 weeks using our 75% discounted study guide. Est - $350.00, but investment may vary by state.
Step 2: Get Certified
Next, you’ll complete a few required certifications, including the $175 AHIP Medicare certification. This open-book exam can take a few days to complete. We provide a $50 discount.
Step 3: Get Contracted
You’ll be contracted with the top insurance companies at no cost. You keep 100% of your earnings and you'll be paid by each company (1099 NEC.) This process can take 1-2 weeks.
Step 4: Get to Work
Once you're set up, we'll provide the training, free resources, and software you need to succeed. Then it's time to get to work! With Rooted Benefits, you're in business but you're not alone.

1. What if I don’t have any experience?
That’s completely fine. Top producers come from all backgrounds: Military, Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Sales, Real Estate, and other Business Ventures. If you’re coachable, motivated, and care about helping others, we’ll teach you everything you need to succeed.
2. Can I start part-time while keeping another job?
Yes, in fact we often encourage it. Our founder started part-time for six months, and many agents begin this business on evenings and weekends. We understand everyone is in a different place financially, but that doesn't mean you don't deserve success!
3. Do I have to pay anything to get started?
We don’t charge you any fees to work with us. You’ll need to cover your state license, insurance, and required certifications, but those are paid to third parties, not to us. We even offer discounted resources to reduce that cost.
4. Do I have to recruit people to be successful?
Absolutely not. This is not MLM or a recruiting scheme. You can earn a great living just by serving clients. If you want to lead a team later, we’ll provide the necessary contract levels and training, but that decision completely optional.
5. Will I have to find all my own clients?
Yes, this is a business, and client acquisition is part of it. That said, you're not left to figure it out alone. We’ve done it all and have the training and resources to guide you toward success. Some advisors prefer grassroots outreach, while others invest in event planning, referral partnerships, direct mail, or other advanced strategies. How you choose to grow is entirely up to you, and there’s a plan for every budget, including zero.
